Giulia Menegale is a guest curator of ArtConnect's Artists to Watch ‘22
Giulia Menegale is an independent curator, editor and PhD candidate. Drawing from feminist and decolonial theory, her curatorial practise investigates the role of feelings and emotional attachments in the production of forms of collective solidarity and resistance. She holds a MA in Contemporary Art Theory (2020) from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA in Multimedia Arts (2018) from IUAV (University of Architecture of Venice).
She has collaborated as a curatorial, research and editorial assistant for: Looking Forward C.I.C. (London), Castello di Rivoli - Museum of Contemporary Arts (Turin), Island gallery (Brussels) and Taryn Simon Projects (New York). She contributed with reviews and essays for: WCS/CD (Belgrade), Subbcultcha (Amsterdam), Artillery Mag (L. A.) and academic journals. At the moment, she is collaborating with Âyiné, a Brazilian publishing house on a new series of book on art and theory.
She took part in residency programmes and curatorial courses, such as: Ramdom (Lecce), Bagni d’Aria (Turin), Salzburg Summer Academy (Salzburg), IMMA- Art and Politics Summer School (Dublin) and Unidee, Fondazione Pistoletto (Biella). She curated and co-curated public programmes, groups exhibitions and workshops between the UK and Italy.

In this stage, the video "Marysville, Oh Holy Land”, a work realised by artist LOREUM , has been shown with a couple of new works at Kupfer Project Space, London, in April 2022. The work was realised with the support of Art council England and Nicoletti Gallery.
