Maja Smoszna (PL/DE) is a visual and performing arts curator with a background in art history, as well as in the field of political activism involving queer feminism, de-colonial urban politics and nature preservation.
In their work, they deal with themes of broadly understood collectivity in artistic and curatorial activities, community building and movement practices in public spaces. In the past years they realized art exhibitions, events and festivals in collaboration with a.o. Galerie Wedding, Bärenzwinger, both in Berlin, Germany, Gouvernement Ghent, Belgium, Savannah Centre for Contemporary Art, Tamale, Ghana, and Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Poland.
