Hedgebrook | Writers-in-Residence

Hedgebrook is on Whidbey Island, WA. The retreat hosts writers from all over the world for fully-funded residencies (excluding travel) of two to four weeks. Their fully-funded writer’s residency offers two to four-week residencies to women-identified writers. Hedgebrook is on Whidbey Island, about thirty-five miles northwest of Seattle. This residency is open to women-identified writers 18 and older.

Pilchuck Glass School is an international center for glass art education. Our programming supports and connects a worldwide community pushing the boundaries of glass, art, and design. Campbient is a weekend-long sound art residency that brings together 22 participants for 44 hours to conceptualize, produce, and record two sound art compositions on-site at Penrose State Park in NW Washington State. The residency is completely off the electrical grid, and all audio production and other activities are battery-powered.

IslandWood is a 255-acre outdoor learning center. The Artist-in-Residence program brings in "teaching artists" to work with the students, teachers, and IslandWood staff during our School Overnight Program. Centrum resides on the land of Coast Salish tribes including the S’Klallam, Chemakum, and Makah people, within the Fort Worden State Park.
