Galleries Open for Ongoing Submissions
Instead of running specific open calls, some galleries have an ongoing submission process, allowing you to send project proposals and your portfolio throughout the year. Here is a selection of these galleries and art spaces that accept unsolicited submissions.
Do not send out your portfolio to all galleries without thought; take the time to reflect on your work in relation to the gallery – does it fit? Read the submissions guidelines carefully and adapt your submission accordingly. Your artist statement should be up to date and make sure to choose artworks that represent your practice.
It’s also important to note that not all galleries welcome unsolicited submissions; if you are interested in a gallery, make sure to read their website carefully before contacting them.
PAPER
PAPER is an artist-led, commercial gallery in Manchester, founded in 2012. They represent a range of emerging and mid-career artists whose practice is based around the medium of paper. This ranges from drawing, painting, and printmaking to artist’s books, video, and performance.
You can send them unsolicited material, preferably a link to your website. PAPER looks over all submissions, but only replies to artists who are being considered.

Artplex Gallery

They are interested in cutting-edge projects that are time-based or interactive, with ideally a strong interdisciplinary approach.
