The residency program at Callie’s is a laboratory for expansive thinking. Artists at any stage of their careers and working in any discipline come to Callie’s to have the space and support to explore new ideas. The program is self-guided and offers many possibilities with no requirements for production.


Matadero Madrid | Residency and cultural space

Nestled within the historic industrial architecture of early 20th-century Madrid, Matadero Madrid stands as a dynamic and transformative space. #Ey!Studio | International Studio Programme

The organization offers several residency programs, with a total of 20 resident artists having participated thus far. Among these programs are the "Residencias #Ey!MAD," a curated research residency program designed for Spanish and Ibero-American artists. The focus of these residencies is to explore projects inspired by the context of Carabanchel, addressing issues that deeply concern the local community. The ultimate goal is to make contemporary art and critical thinking accessible to the residents of the district by connecting them with the projects developed during these residencies.

La Casa Encendida | Artist Residency Program

Casa Encendida is a social and cultural centre in central Madrid. It began operations in December 2002.

The residency is dedicated to supporting the creation and research that revolve around the body from a performative perspective. This program is thoughtfully interwoven with La Casa Encendida's regular programming, with a keen emphasis on projects that align closely with the center's lines of research and experimentation.

Furthermore, Artists in Residence serves as a platform for fostering meaningful dialogues between the talented creators, the institution, and its various programs. The program aims to cultivate a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences, enriching both the artists' creative journeys and the institution's artistic landscape.

La Casa Encendida is a social and cultural centre in central Madrid. It began operations in December 2002.
